STAMPERIA BUSATO
Giancarlo Busato represents the third generation of printers. Over 70 years ago, precisely in 1916 Ottorino Busato set up the well established Stamperia Busato, a printer workshop, in a 16. century-building in Vicenza old town.
The shop marked its time through different artists: from the great artists of the twentieth century to contemporary illustrators. Stamperia Busato welcomes you with that peculiar smell of ink and paper mixed together, deeply merged like the work of the artist and the printer does, swinging between mutual trust and agreement. Lithographs, engravings, woodcuts and hand pressed paper sheets.
Giancarlo describes himself as an “errand printer”, since he committed to his profession to the point to promote it in schools and italian culture centres abroad, as well as everywhere it is needed.
