On the south side of Piazza dei Signori, at the foot of the stunning Basilica Palladiana there are some of the old warehouses cued by tradesmen to stock their products in the ancient market of  Piazza delle Erbe.

One of those warehouses, located at the foot of the stairs hosts today a very exclusive place, Al Grottino tavern, where you will be welcomed by pulsing history: the elegant wooden counter, the vaults of the Basilica Palladiana, the stylish ambience of a so called “institution” for Spritz-cocktail, a true ritual in Vicenza.
